Growing Grassroots created by Kayode and Arjun with a wellness and breathing exercise guided by Professors Larissa Castillo and Kristen Peterson.
Growing Grassroots sought to develop participants’ skills in communication, persuasion, and analysis to support the growth of social movements throughout all of its life-cycle stages. Attendees were educated on the importance of grassroots movements and their influence on public policy, and how to create an interactive and engaging learning environment. Students should be able to:
– Identify the methods that students can participate in social movements
– Recognize the limitations of student participation in social movements
– Understand the significance of student participation
